Cox's Bazar & Sundarban at the Top of World's 7 Natural Wonders!!

As of last Thursday, 27th Dec. 2007; Cox's Bazar--the longest sea beach in the world located in Bangladesh--ascended to the top of list while Sundarban--the largest mangrove forest in the world, also located in Bangladesh--became the second on the list among the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

It may be mentioned, 158 natural landscapes & other places from different parts of the world have been primarily nominated for election of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world. The New7Wonders Foundation--"established in 2001 by the Swiss-born Canadian filmmaker, author and adventurer Bernard Weber" in order to promote cultural diversity & preservation of world heritage--is conducting this survey and election online.

After electing the Seven New Wonders of the World in July 2007, the N7W Foundation started their current campaign The New 7 Wonders of Nature! According to the N7W org., "some 200 nominations" have been "submitted by some half a million people to date." Nominations for the New 7 Wonders of Nature would be accepted until December 31, 2008.

In order to enhance chances of Cox's Bazar Beach & Sundarban Mangrove Forest to remain on the top of list, PLEASE caste your own vote, and urge your friends to nominate Cox's Bazar & Sundarban on the N7W Foundation website at-
