Described by journalist Gordy Slack as "the world's most famous out-of-the-closet living atheist. He is also the world's most controversial evolutionary biologist," Richard Dawkins is an outspoken defender of science and evolution. Currently Charles Simonyi Professor of the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University, Prof Dawkins' articles speak for the scientific community and against the superstition and mythology of religious scriptures being spun off as if they were facts. His books, including his 1976 masterpiece "The Selfish Gene," and subsequent works including "The Blind Watchmaker," "Unweaving the Rainbow," "Climbing Mount Improbable" and "The Ancestor's Tale" are a fascinating collection of thoughts and research into life’s origins and evolution culled from decades of hard research.

We hope you enjoy this special selection of Prof Dawkins' articles selected from the Mukto-Mona archives.
